 Regarding its scope, the Curriculum Project shares and displays the mission by UPN, whose origin and vision has been committed to build the Pedagogical Political Project of the Nation, as follows:


Developing thinking, reflection, innovation and research processes required to examine, understand, design and promote education, pedagogy and a relevant didactics to upgrade comprehensively populations who require Special Educational Needs and Differential Methods of Development, as autonomous individuals in front of decision-making and contributing, linkage and access to benefits and resources, of political, cultural, economic and social development.


Faced with the educational issues of the population with Special Educational Needs and Differential Methods of Development: analyzes, proposes, accompanies and builds institutional and social processes that support school and education for everyone, which are inclusive, strengthened, joined and open to other educational mediation in the context of education systems viewed as pivots of a domestic, regional and national development.


From research, critical thinking, analysis of context and situation, recognizing the historicity demands and a specific sensitivity, developments in the field of pedagogy and human and social sciences are located and mobilized recognizing the characteristics of “people with special educational needs and differential methods of development”, which enables a prospective, evaluative, purposeful and proactive look regarding problems, issues and interventions from which the Ministry of National Education, the Secretaries of Education and other governmental and non-governmental agencies are fed to design, review and transform public policies in education and teacher training; and creation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and self-evaluation of plans, programs and projects that contribute to strengthening the National Educational System and the Territorial Educational Systems.



Favoring the emergence of the teacher as a social individual who will be critical, proactive, versatile, autonomous and responsible, socially engaged with a higher professional, intellectual and civic education with strong will, promoting for him/herself, and for others, all the holistic and social human potential of individuals and populations.

Elective Seminars


Teacher is in front of a world that demands several skills due to constant evolution and progress that currently generates technological, political, administrative and institutional advancement. Then requires immediacy, pragmatism and adaptation (Martínez, María Josefa; Didáctica y educación).


In this regard, elective seminars set out as processes to foster a flexibility culture within the curriculum project of Education, focused on Special Education, by allowing a dynamics by different training scenarios from several professional fields, and the choice of different learning paths. The seminars structured by areas that respond to problem integrators and grounded in research lines and research projects for professors of the curricular project.
